Hello I purchased my rebel in October. I have 8,000 miles and on the way home with my daughter this weekend. The rebel started lugging and shut down. Got towed to dealership. They said it was a bad cam sensor.. can someone tell me what might have caused this. I love my rebel it's my first truck off the showroom floor.

Parts do occasionally fail from the manufacturer. As long as Ram replaces it and it doesn't happen again, why worry? It's why you get that initial warranty, right?

Same mileage on mine, just went in for fuel pressure sensor. Hope this isn't a preview of things to come. Had a 2016 Jeep Wrangler that in under 10 thousand miles was in for knock sensor; tire sensors; cam sensor; and a couple of others. Traded it in on the Ram. Too many sensors! Progress is a major pain in my ass! I have a lot less trouble with my '38 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Coupe.
