I think your best bet for the letters will be on EBay. I know some people on this site have had some issues trying to find replacements

As for blacking them out, you probably better off just painting them and them clear coating then…. Good old rattle cans. You can either paint them while on the truck or just remove the grille and paint them that way. Just be sure to mask them off and cover the grill so you don’t get any bleed over on the black plastic

removing the grille is not that difficult and doesn’t require any special tools, just a ratchet and a few extensions

 

Thanks Baron, I’ve been looking on EBay. It’s a tough year of Rebel to get an “R”. I was hoping someone maybe had this problem before and had a website or a phone number, that they could pass on to me. I appreciate the response tho. I’ll keep looking.

 

I had the grill letter on my 2017 Ram Rebel torn off in a local car wash and was able to get the part number off the back.
Part # 66247264AA
Goggle this number and I think you can find a supplier. Coat about $80, but it was a perfect match.

I just bought my Rebel a few months ago. It is a 2016, silver. I love my truck!! But I made a mistake by taking it through a car wash, I lost my “R” on the front grille. I’ve been looking online trying to find a replacement. Does anyone have a suggestion? Or maybe know a place that I can order the letters? My letters are silver, I’d like to change them to black. I don’t think that I’d be able to match them since they were sunburnt/faded/weathered however you want to say it. I’d appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks in advance!! Instead of hunting for a single “R,” full emblem kits are easier to match and install. You can check a few solid options here: View Website.

Losing a grille letter is pretty common, especially on older Rebels. Since yours are faded anyway, swapping to black replacements would give it a nice refreshed look.
