Okay, maybe this is a pretty typical post for help.
I’ve got a 2019 Rebel 5.7L (NOT eTorque) with 40k miles (second owner). There is a very noticeable drone/vibration at specific RPM’s (1400 and 1900), regardless of the speed and regardless of what gear its in. It does it in and out of ECO mode too. The noise fills the whole cabin, almost like the backpressure of having one window down at highway speeds. It’s definitely coming from the front end, but I don’t think it’s worn wheel bearings/diff/transmission/etc parts because it has made the noise at idle too.
I know, I know... "Didn't you read other forums before posting here?" "You're not the only person to have this issue, pal"
I have read other threads and tried fixing the issue already. I bought an ANC bypass harness but it did absolutely nothing. It sounds like a lot of people are having similar issues but other than a few who have had luck with cancelling the ANC, and a few more diagnosing Active Air Dam issues (the Rebel doesn’t have that), I haven’t actually seen anyone successfully fix it yet. I’m looking for some at-home diagnosis ideas because “bring it to the dealership” isn’t a great option at the moment. My truck is out of warranty and I can’t afford to spend a ton of money just to be told they don’t know what the problem is.
