Anyone come up with any mods to lock in off road mode over 25mph? Off road mode is so useless in this truck, who goes off roading under 25mph

I shut my aero mode off 3 days after picking up the truck. I was fooling around with the settings and found out you can shut aero mode off.
Please explain how.

its in the radio, there are a bunch of settings you can change, like if you want the horn to beep when you lock the doors, or you can turn on an alert that tells you you are speeding. plus you can change the colors of the radio display. and others

All that stuff sounds cool. But speed alerts really ha ha ha.
Really? I don't know what kind of off roading you do, but where I'm at, there is no way you could go 25MPH unless you have a death wish, or hate your truck. I can't imagine any situation where you can be going 25+ and actually need the extra height of off road mode, but that's just me.
Hell, we drive faster than that in cornfields after the combines have been through. If you're following the rows, the cut stalks can get stuck in the undercarriage. Big annoyance to clean out later. Nice to have more clearance. And hardly life threatening. ???

Well, obviously you aren't where I am. As I stated, where I am, and where I use my trucks off-road, you most definelty wouldn't want to be going 25. Large rocks and rough terrain would not be good at that speed. So yeah,
I was just responding to your comment, "I can't imagine any situation where you can be going 25+ and actually need the extra height of off road mode, but that's just me." I was helping your imagination. Pity it didn't work.

There are plenty of places and situations you go over 25 heck 50, and as far as the heath, ya you don't want to have to worry about coming stradleing something because you auto lowered. I've raced off road with Kellogg, in the off road 300 series. done a lot of off roading in the Marines, grew up with it. lowering at 25 is just ignorant idea by some executive that has never chewed dirt. ya in some places you might only do 10 or less or little more, but you don't need your truck thinking for you and lowering down a good way to hit something the whole reason you RAISE your truck brother for ground clearance.

I agree that some of us could really use more control over the ride height of the Rebel. I also agree that it is some person who doesn't actually do all types of off-road that would make it not stay in the mode you set it to after a certain speed.

I'm sure it is some lawyer who decided it would be in their best interest to lower the truck to normal for speeds over 25 mph because you know someone is going to raise it up to max and try to run the highway at 120 mph and hit the ditch because they lose control.

OH I totally agree with you, there are plenty of situations and places you don't want to be going fast, I go places you are creeping and 25 would be, hell just suicide. But you don't need you truck lowering when you break out to an opening and you hit the pedal and hit say maybe 35, 40 then back slow back down for some more harsher terrain and forgot to manualy raise the truck back up and now your hitting stuff you would normaly be going right over, hence the reason I have ground clearance in the first place. The height adjustment is killer the problem is not being able to lock it where you want.

ya but I'm good with that , we need some way to weed out ignorance in this nation, to many morons being protected from themselves is weekening the herd. LOLOL
I'm more worried about protecting the population from the morons. I don't get too concerned about protecting morons from themselves. Herd thinning is a natural process and should be left alone. The problem is that humans are somewhat unique in that the weak minded can and do frequently cause thinning around them rather than their own. :)
So, at the end of the day at least so far there is no way to leave the truck in off-road mode all the time? Also, is off road mode more ham just raising the truck a bit? Does the suspension really behave differently, because if so I haven't noticed a difference.

I need to retract this statement because it was pissing me off last night. A buddy of mine and I were traveling around his land last night, which is nasty Oklahoma red clay, and it has rained a bunch and was raining at the time. If you've never had any experience with red clay it gets nasty quick. I was able to make it up a pretty agressive hill, but his 2500.........not so much. As the ruts got deeper I really needed the extra height, because my skid plates were becoming mud shovels. although I probably never never exceeded 10 MPH, there were times that my speedometer showed well over 20 and the truck kept lowering itself and the skid plates would start digging again. It was an interesting evening, and I'm pretty sure I may never get all the clay out my truck. We had my truck attached to his and a tractor hooked to mine, and still never get it to move. They went back out with the 5 ton today and got it out. Good times.

It's unusual that they don't undercoat trucks these days, if they did they would last much longer.

I'm planning on undercoating mine, I bought a case of spray and a large tarp, and a few plastic drop clothes to protect the paint and items I don't want spray on like the drive shaft and exhaust, I will remove the spare tire also. its all about the preparation. Photos to come.
