I am looking at trading in my Ram express v6 for a new Rebel or sport. I do a lot of driving on back roads to work at 55 mph or less and 48 miles a day. I Tow a 6x10 utility trailer 3 or 4 times a week and looking at a small camper. I do make 2 trips a year from Pennsylvania to Tennessee. If I get the Sport it has 3.21 ratio and would plan on lifting a couple inches and installing 33 tires. My question after the lift and bigger tires on the sport would it still get better mileage then the Rebel. And what effect would it have on the sport after the lift for towing if any. They are both a big purchase and don’t want to get the sport and after the lift have gas mileage of the Rebel. Thanks for any insight.

Basic physics and automotive engineering. Lifting the Ram will decrease your gas milage whether it's a Rebel or Sport. However, the difference will only be 1-3 MPG. Do the math and it's just a few hundred dollars a year so have fun and don't worry about the gas mileage.

I’d say go with the Rebel, but I may be bias… LOL
