What warranty did you choose?

I'm curious if anyone purchased an extended warranty?

My wife's 2007 Jeep Compass and her current 2014 Jeep Cherokee and the 2012 Ram 1500 I just traded in all had the maxi care warranty (lifetime warranty with unlimited miles to original owner only). I didn't purchase the warranty for the Rebel only because I wanted the lowest payment possible. But I've got a refund coming for the 2012 which I will turn around and repurchase the warranty for the Rebel. I have until 12 months or 12,000 miles to purchase a factory extended warranty.

Hey Folks, anyone living in Canada who want's an extended warranty should call me directly, I work for Ram, Chrysler, Jeep. You will pay $100 over the dealer cost. 780-472-4430 or email me at [email protected]. I did this for the Eco-Diesel form as well and 15 members have purchased their contracts so far.
When I purchased my 2014 RAM 2500 I just went the factory warranty. I tend to not keep vehicles long enough to need an extended :(

I always get to excited about the newer models. I know it's not smart but that's my addiction :)

Is this deal also available for PA purchasers? I am in the process of negotiating a deal for a Rebel and the dealer does not seem to want to come down on the warranty. Can I purchase a warranty from you if I purchase the truck form someone else?

I wasn't even given any options on an extended warranty when i bought mine. wowzers.

You can still purchase the extended warranty for up to 12 months with no penalty. Make sure you shop it around because you can buy it from any Chrysler dealership and there is a bit of mark up on them. I purchased the lifetime bumper to bumper for $2600.
I can get the lifetime from anywhere? What does that cover - or better yet what does it *not* cover? What is the cheapest those generally go for? I used a Chrysler friends and family discount for the truck, can I apply the same code for the warranty, or would I need a new / different code?

You can add a factory extended warranty anytime in the first 12 months or 12,000 miles.

The lifetime warranty is the best in my opinion. Unlimited miles and unlimited time to original owner of vehicle only. It covers bumper to bumper minus maintance of course. You can also choose your deductible and like car insurance, the higher the deductible the lower the cost of the plan.

You can buy warranties thru Chrysler directly without going thru your dealer.

Here is one place that will sell it to you: http://www.factoryplans.com/assets/cms/files/NewMaxCare2014.pdf

There are many places that sell the plans. Google to find the best deal.

As per their site:

WHAT’S NOT COVERED UNDER OUR MAXIMUM CARE PLANS
  1. The only parts and labor not covered:

    • Maintenance services and items used in such services

    • Wear items (such as tires, manual clutch assembly, brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, belts and wipers)

    • Snow plows, winches and trailer hitches • Body and paint items, including soft trim • Glass and plastic lenses

I agree, assuming you are going to hold on to it. My 2004 GMC Yukon had 140K+ on the odometer. Little stuff started to go bad. I fixed most of it myself but it would have really nickel and dimed me if I took it to a service center for repair. The trans was just starting to slip every now and then so it was time to dump it. If it had a lifetime warranty I would have held on to it- But then I would have never found the Rebel :)

I hope to have the Rebel for many years and the lifetime warranty gives me peace of mind.
I purchased a Lifetime Warranty MaxCare with a $100.00 deductible. Cost $2315.00. I plan on keeping this truck for a long time and at that price, very hard not to get it.

did you get it through the dealer at time of purchase? They are quoting me $2700 and told me I have to purchase within 60 days to utilize the employee pricing discount.
No I didn't get it through the dealership where I bought my car, they wanted $3800.00 ! I purchased it through another dealership, my advice is to shop around and see what other dealerships will offer you. If you don't find anything let me know and I will put you in contact with the dealership I got my warranty through.
