To do it properly you will need to get a bodyshop to push out the steel from the emblem indent and then fill it with body filler before painting and applying the new emblem

Looks great, I might have keep the REBEL and 4X4 emblems, but it could look a little too much back there. Also I find the darker colored vehicles tend to look better with the large RAM lettering then the lighter color vehicles, probably just the way I see it.

To be honest I took the rebel badge off for the paint job and I was struggling for it to fit right, it seemed to close to the letter R and if I moved it lower down it fell into the curve of the bottom of the tailgate and was difficult to align. I have it still on my desk and was thinking to revist this in the future
