Just added the MOPAR cold air intake! Easy 45min install.

Pro:
1. Deeper exhaust note
2. Seems to have better throttle response and peppier.
3. Looks sweet under the hood.

Will update on MPG increase (whole reason I purchased) or decrease.

Nice install. Thanks for pics.
Does it look like the area the air comes in might be easily affected by water?
Lots of road flooding in my area.

Here's the million dollar question....are you going to add the Mopar Cold Air Intake hood air duct adapter Part Number: 82214741 that the SEMA Rebel X had combined with the Mopar CAI? Which would mean functional hood vents bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I have actually done some research on this. Mopar has the same setup to equip the challenger with working good air ducts and I have actually helped a friend install them. He saw absolutely no improvement in MPG but did see a slight improvement in torque. So unsure if anyone is looking for an upgrade in MPG would want to go through all the trouble.

I'll get my invoices out, but buying molar parts and getting the dealer to install them is between 2 to 3 times more expensive. If you can install anything your self you could save half the cost right away. I have bad disabilities and trust my dealers service dept because a very long time friend works there.

So you payed about 1300 for the CAI and the hood duct to go to the CAI ?

I did the CAI, duct, and muffler all at the same time. It added about 5 mpg highway.

Sounds about right. I like mopar but they like their stuff WAY more...

I bought it at the dealer were i bought my truck. I know the parts manager so i usually get a better price but like the other guys said its still mopar and its still expensive. As far as a video im sorry i probably will not be making one now that its in its not coming back out. But the instructions that it came with a pretty good. It was fairly simple took about 20-30 mins. to install. Hardest part was cutting the sound/insulation mat, i saw a couple picture of other installs and didnt like how big of a hole they cut. The templet to cut the mat that came with the kit was too big in my opinion so i kinda eye balled it so it was smaller and looks neater i think.
Perhaps you could take it out and make your own You Tube video how to install it, that would be cool for everyone to see.
What site did you purchase it from?
Thanks.
